If you're going to be on the coast, the Caribbean coast, there's a few cool places to visit. Santa Marta is a really beautiful city. Cartagena is probably the biggest tourist attraction. There's a big walled city from, I don't know the date, from when Spain was colonizing Colombia. They built this massive fortress near the coast and you can tour it now. It's really cool. They also have the whole tourist district basically, which is just a really nice ancient city block, more than a city block, several blocks, that tourists always go to. It's really pretty, lots of music and souvenirs and stuff. But really you should just go and meet some people. The people are the coolest part of Colombia for sure.
