Ann Workman taught the Marriage and Family Class for Eternal Family, and she does such a wonderful job. The Spirit is just with her, and she has such great advice. John Bailey was for my Education 212, and he really made me stretch as I went out and worked with students, and that was a wonderful learning experience. Alise Lange is a wonderful teacher. She teaches in the religion department, Church History, Doctrine and Covenants. Those areas does a great job getting people to talk together, so if you're a group person and like to meet other people in the class, she does a good job of that. Keanu Manoa was my Hawaiian Studies 101 class. He's great, and he does a good job. I had him while we were all online.

As a business major, I would say PJ Rogers is very knowledgeable and great to talk to, especially in his office, to network with and get extra feedback. Kenny Kalama, he works in career services, but he started teaching, it was his first semester teaching when I was with him, and he's awesome to network with. Jeff Christensen is in marketing, and he is very knowledgeable about marketing, so I would always go sit in his office and get feedback for my projects I was working on. I also really enjoyed Sister Scanlon, and she helped me pass accounting with an A, which was not my strong suit, so that was very helpful with the way she taught. And Brother Shumway, he was my religion professor that I really enjoyed and learned a lot from him.

Brother Hammond was a great professor. Brother Moffat was a great professor. Almost every professor I had was great, and perhaps a recommendation I give you is also take advantage of classes that are taught by missionaries. You'll be surprised, because these are individuals that teach classes not just for the knowledge, but from the experience. I have some missionary professors who were professors at the University of Utah. One of them was a very famous chemist. They are always unassuming, but certainly they can teach you a lot, and I hope you will look into that as well.

If you're in the political science major, definitely Dr. Hoted. He is such an amazing dean, an amazing mentor, an amazing leader. When he teaches in class, he like, you know, it makes you think back to missionary work where you don't teach the lesson, you teach the people, and with him he definitely teaches students, and that's important, right? The other one is Dr. Kachiyama, Jennifer Kachiyama-Tinkham. She is actually the advisor for legal studies, so definitely take legal studies. She is so amazing, amazing professor. She will support you, she will help you along the way, and even after you graduate, because, you know, I've experienced that with her. And Dr. Kruse, Dr. Kruse, thank you so much for everything, and all my professors, all others. So, thank you!

I would say that about 98% of my professors I loved. But just to put a few mentions out there, Sister MacArthur, she taught all of my Spanish classes and she's incredible. I did take Spanish from two other professors and she was by far my favorite. And a few others, Seamus Finnegan, he taught, I don't know if he's still teaching, but he taught one of my intercultural peace building classes. That was my major. And he was incredible. He's an incredible human and he's an incredible professor and really has a way of interacting with the students to help you learn. And then of course, my favorite professor, Chad Ford. He's amazing. At the time that I was there, he was the head of the peace building program and he is incredible.

In the Exercise and Science College there, and one of my favorite teachers was Coach K. He was an incredible teacher and he helped you learn without pressuring you to to be this insane student, always in the books and writing. It was a lot of learning through experience. Ultimate teacher was Yoke Kokanen. He taught me kinesiology, he taught me anatomy, and I really admire him. I was able to build such a bond with him as a professor, one-on-one time student to professor, and I cherish that. I also loved Coach Porter Tanakana. She changed my life forever and encouraged me to become an athletic trainer, which I have become now.

I had a lot of good teachers at BYU-Hawaii, but these are the three I remember and still think about. But the first one I'd say is P.J. Rogers. He did a really good job at kind of opening up my mind with a lot of things, and not only just with business, but also with like relationships and just things like that. And then also I would say Ann Springer. Her class was incredibly challenging, but she was so willing to help and she was a connection that I'm so grateful I had and was able to make, and we still talk to this day. My last one, I don't know how to pronounce her name, so I'll just spell it. It's S-A-B-A-N-I, and then her last name is A-U-P-I-U. She, also her class was challenging as well, but she made history seem more exciting, and I really was thrilled to take her class.

One day I was riding the train. I was going to LDS Business College at the time and there was this lady who stopped me and talked to me. I told her I was transferring to BYU-Hawaii and she stopped me and told me that I had to take a class from Chad Ford, that he was very inspirational and changed her life. I've heard many great things about Brother Ford and the different classes that he teaches. It's just a life-changing experience, so I decided to change my minor so I can be able to take a class from Chad Ford.
