I was serving in Adelaide and in the springtime, which is opposite of the United States, so it's in like August to November, October, they have magpies in the trees, swooping magpies they're called, and they're very protective over their nests and so while we would bike they would swoop down and they'd hit our helmets and so one day I was biking with my companion and I was in the back and these magpies just kept swooping and I kept trying to dodge them because I would see them before because they would hit my companion first or they would go to my companion first and they never actually hit us until this one time I got hit in the head by a magpie and he actually cracked my helmet and so that was definitely a day to remember.
