So one day I was fitting a patient with some hearing aids for the first time and I'd put him in his ear and as soon as I put him in he was just going off about how great he heard and you know, wow this sounds so great, this is fantastic, this is awesome and I hadn't turned him on yet. So I liked the placebo effect, I liked the optimism but I hadn't actually turned him on yet so I had to kind of say, hey once I turn him on I bet you hear even better. He would kind of laughed about it but that was kind of a funny story.
