Symptoms
Watch VideosI have a lot of trouble focusing. It's really hard for me like if there's any sound or anything like that my brain focuses on that rather than the thing I'm supposed to focus on. Another thing is sometimes I'm able to hyper focus but then other times I'm switching back and between back and forth between tasks like a crazy person and it's just like really upsetting because sometimes I just want to be able to stick to one thing and to get it done but then I just end up doing all these different things except for the thing I'm supposed to do. I'd say I have trouble with noise sometimes. I get a little overstimulated that way. I have a noise canceller which is really great.
Some of the symptoms at least when I was first, you know, diagnosed was my ability to read, which sounds funny enough, but like reading and focusing on reading was just extremely difficult. My eyes would bounce, so yeah.
So another one of the symptoms I have from having ADHD is sometimes things will just like come out of my mouth like I'll just say things before thinking, I'll blurt things out, sometimes depends on the day I just can't really sit still or focus in on things. One of the biggest things that happens to me honestly is I'll be focusing and then I'll go out of focus and I'll just be all over the place and then I'll get back into focus and be really focused and then I'll go back out and it's just this constant cycle and it's really hard because it gets kind of tiring but as I've gotten older, I'm 18 now, I've been able to control it a lot better. It's still a struggle but it's definitely improved over time.
