I typically like to wake up early and I'll go out and work in the yard or garden or on the house depending on what season it is and come together for some family time and breakfast and then I go to work. I start the day painting and a lot of my day is spent thinking of ideas or just looking at a painting trying to see what wants to come next, trying to be inspired based on what I've already done and I'll look at a lot of art, look at a lot of art books, a lot of my favorite artists, Sargent, Zoran, Soroya, should look them up and it's typically in and out all day from the garden to to painting. I like to take quick stabs at things and you know take breaks often.

Hi, I'm Brent Borup. I don't know if this is typical, this is what I do. I wake up in the morning and I usually get on social media, not just to browse, not just to, you know, surf the web, but to post something. I find if I don't create a post, then people don't go to my website and I don't make money. Then I usually fulfill orders, you know, I print, box things up, I ship them, I answer emails, I do a lot of business type stuff. Then maybe, you know, midday I'll have time to do what I want to do, which is sometimes creating a painting. Here's one I'm working on back behind me. Sometimes it's, you know, learning. I'm going to little drawing sessions or just being an artist, you know, but it starts out being business and then half the day is kind of doing what I want.
