I heard of Living History Farm, a local place looking for artists to create murals, and I created a little mock-up, a little 12-inch tall thing, and ended up getting the job. And it was for a mural that was 10 feet tall and 72 feet long, depicting the local landscape through the seasons. I went to the location, set up a ladder, squeezed out huge, huge mounds of oil paint, and used up many, many brushes, and basically lived there practically for a month straight, and ended up finishing just about on time. Every painting and every interaction with a client is a unique experience, and I'm really grateful that my life is constantly changing. Every experience is different, and I get to be creative.
