Hi, I'm Brent Borup. In a previous video, I mentioned how I was laid off from my day job. That was a great blessing for me because it kind of forced me into thinking, okay, do I want to go out and get another job or do I really want to focus on this art thing? So that's what I did. I was already making money on the side, a little side business of selling my artwork, and so I just put more time into it. And if you don't go out and get a job as an artist, you just start doing what you want to do. And that's how you become an artist. You have to have a lot of self-motivation, a lot of initiative to get up in the morning and work and do what you want to do. But that's how you become an artist is you just do it without anyone telling you to do it.
