I had a grandmother with Alzheimer's and I think the biggest thing to help her was to just not try to not treat her differently because the thing that made her the most frustrated was when we'd, you know, go out of her way to accommodate her, especially in things that weren't like a huge deal but they're just little deals because it just made her feel super different and kind of ostracized.

So my grandmother had Alzheimer's and she just went really fast, which honestly was lucky because you know a lot of times it just drags out over years and it's really difficult, but it was still extremely difficult. We were pretty close and so it was really hard, but I want to say one thing that really really helped my grandma was just try and still incorporate the things that she loves even when she became immobile or unable to speak. She just loved music and we would just sing and it just helped her so much and we watched our favorite movie together and it was just amazing.
