So acne can have a lot of things that influences why we are struggling with acne. And without like, if you're keeping it clean and trying not to touch it and play with it, I think it can be really related to the gut and to hormones. So if you are doing your best to eat good and get rid of dairy and sugar and high inflammatory foods like seed oils, that can help a ton. Trying to take care of your gut, keeping things clean like your towel, your makeup brushes, your pillowcases, blankets, things like that. I will, I know this is so weird, but I sleep, I get really bad acne underneath because I sleep with my hands up underneath my neck and they're actually starting to clear up because I wear gloves at night, just like little cotton gloves. So that's a tip I have for you. But yeah, I would not encourage Accutane. I know that may trigger some people, but it doesn't help the gut.

At least for me, the cause was stress, especially in high school. I had it like during the pandemic. It was just a very uncertain time and I wasn't going to school in person and I wasn't exercising as much or eating as well. So I think just a lot of things created the perfect storm which caused acne.

There are so many different things that can cause acne. I have struggled with pretty bad acne since the age of 13. It is clearing up a little bit more now, now that I'm 20, but it is important to wash it regularly if your face is dirty, if you are stressed, if you're not eating right, if you're not exercising enough. There are so many things that can cause acne, but I'd say that stress is probably a big one for me.

Obviously, there's a lot of reasons why acne can present itself on your skin and talking to a doctor about it I think is the best to kind of understand what your body's trying to tell you but there's a lot of reasons there could be Build up from oil on your face where you're producing too much oil so that could be blackheads There could be hormonal acne around the chin area and that's just because there's an excess of hormones in your body There could be a thing called fungal acne where there's just bumps on your forehead and that's from oil secretion on your scalp coming down onto your forehead So to really just talk to your doctor and figure out what it is That's causing it so that way you can get to the bottom of it

I've had mild acne since I was a teenager and I'm now 29 years old. It seems like the things that contribute to my acne are things like stress, using chemicals on my face, eating chocolate, eating fatty foods or sugary or salty foods, especially fatty foods though. I've also noticed recently that I've been off of milk products, dairy products, that my skin has cleared up a ton. Probably the most it's cleared up in the last 15 years since I started getting acne. So I would highly recommend avoiding dairy products and giving that a try.
