Hi, my name is Amanda Pope and I have been an accountant for 18 years. I did my bachelor's and master's degree in accounting and I am also a CPA, a Certified Public Accountant. After 18 years of practicing public accounting, I decided that I wanted to teach accounting. So now I have just started as a professor of accounting as of April 15th. I finished a tax season and at my accounting firm and then I started teaching right away. So I'm super excited to be teaching accounting but I also really loved being an accountant and calculating tax returns was my area of specialty.

Hello, this is Randy Gentzsch, class of 1982, graduated with a master's in accounting with a tax emphasis from Brigham Young University. And funny facts about when I graduated, it was the depths of the recession. Reagan had been elected. And as an election because the economy was in the crapper. Interest rates for houses were like 19%, I think. Married with three children, one on the way, and graduated without a job, went to work for a firm in Salt Lake, and then moved to Seattle for 12 years, and then back down to Southern Oregon. And that is where you find me today. And yes, I'm old.
