Ward Greeter

So I have this calling right now. Our bishopric calls it the Compactment Greeter. So I'm not supposed to just stand by the door. I'm supposed to go around and talk to new people or people that are alone. And there are two of us that have the calling, so we separate and go do that. And so the hardest part with it is that, first off, I'm not really the type that just goes up to random people. But I've done it for the calling and I've gotten kind of weird responses where people will just kind of give me a weird look when I sit by them. Remember, this is a singles ward, so it'll be single people that I'm sitting by and they give me weird looks. But typically the guys have given me weird looks. And so I ended up talking to the elder of the Compactment who was like, I'll talk to the guys, you talk to the girls. So it's gotten a lot better, but be nice and talk to people if they come and sit by you.
