Watch VideosSuggest you definitely take a visit to Salt Lake City, the capital of Utah, and maybe visit Provo, which is about a half an hour to a 40-minute drive south. You know, just check out BYU, check out the sites, you know, or at least attend conference at least once in your lifetime. It's a really great experience. And I'm from California originally, from down in Orange County. So yeah, down there is Disneyland and the beach. So it goes without saying, please at least make a visit to California to, you know, check out the beach, hang out on the beach, get a wade in the water, go in the ocean, go swimming, and check out Disneyland and all the other parks that we have around. You know, it's a really fun time to visit. Not to live, but to visit.
If you are a foodie, I 100% recommend visiting Texas. Texas has great barbecue, Tex-Mex, which is like a unique blend of Texan food and Mexican food. Just a lot of great varieties and food. Some specific restaurants that I recommend are Torchy's. You can find one in a lot of cities in Texas. Another recommendation I have is Rodeo Goat. It's a burger place that you could go to. They have several in like the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Yeah, just a lot of places that really will give your taste palette a whirl.
Alright, I just wanted to name off a few of my favorite places that I've visited in the United States. I'm from Idaho, so I'm kind of biased towards some of those places, but one of my favorite places is called McCall, Idaho. And McCall, Idaho is just a really beautiful place, especially during winter. They get tons of snow, and it has a ski resort, and it's just a really pretty little town. During summer, it's amazing as well. It's really pretty. It has lots of ponds, and lakes, and rivers, and stuff like that. Another place is Moab, Utah. It has lots of pretty red rock, and it's a fun place to go outdoor camping, and hiking, and seeing the beautiful scenery there. And then finally, City of Rocks, Idaho is a beautiful place, famous for rock climbing. It just has tons of beautiful rock fixtures, and cool places to camp, and go sightseeing, and going on hikes. So yeah.
So if you're ever in Phoenix, Arizona, there's a lot of great places to hike. One place in Washington State that's a good place to go is Spokane, Washington. Pretty humble place to go, very nice area. Also there's a staircase which is a park near the Olympic Mountain or mountains in Washington State, western Washington State. So places to visit in Oregon, I would recommend Newport, Florence. Florence has got the sand dunes down there. You can ride sand dune buggies. You can do mini golf. There's a sea gardens there.
I recommend going to every single one of the 50 states and finding something there that you enjoy. It'll definitely make the trip worth it if you have that in mind, look for something that sparks your interest. Some people who were born and raised in the United States don't go to all 50 states. It's a little sad, but it's definitely worth the bragging rights. There's a national park in most of the states. So the national parks are always just beautiful, beautiful things. If you need to get away from the city, if you need a place to meditate, to commune with nature, there's campsites in a lot of places. There's lakes in a lot of places.
Probably my favorite place of all time is Yellowstone National Park, and it's in Idaho, Wyoming in Montana, and it is beautiful. I've been there like so many times, and I never get tired of going. It's just a place where you can go and escape all the noise of the world that we live in, and it's beautiful. There's always tons of wildlife, especially if you go in the spring. I would totally recommend.
My favorite place in the entire world, and I wish I was there right now, is Zion Canyon National Park. I love Zion Canyon. It's in southern Utah, near St. George, Utah, not too far away from St. George. And I think part of the reason I love it is because of the memories that I have. It's not a huge National Park, it's not huge like the Grand Canyon, but it is gorgeous. I love the red and orange cliffs. Oh man, just Angels Landing is my favorite hike. It's a little bit scary. You have to look it up because there's like a drop on either side of you, and you kind of hold on to chains on your way up to the top. But man, it's beautiful. Really great place.
So I'd definitely say if you can while you're visiting the United States to see the Statue of Liberty in New York. If you get further west to try and see the Grand Canyon over in Arizona, New Mexico, that area, try and visit definitely Texas because Texas is just amazing. Honestly, I think it should have its own little foreign country spot here, but I'm a little biased. Texas is wonderful. Also, I highly recommend visiting, there's a lot of really great towns in North Carolina to visit, little small country towns, and lots of historical sites in Virginia that are really cool to think about the founding of the country.
There are tons and tons of different things to see in Utah. There's probably five or six different national parks right inside Utah, and they're all within just like an hour or two of each other. They're super cool. I think Utah has a lot of diversity geographically, so I would say Utah is a great place to visit.
