So, Turkey is, of course, a predominantly Muslim country, so one of the big holidays there is Ramadan, and if you don't know about Ramadan, during Ramadan, Muslims will fast from sunrise to sunset, and so if you're traveling in Turkey, and especially in Istanbul or one of the bigger cities, during Ramadan, you won't see a lot of people out and about eating, and one thing that we were told is out of respect for the Muslims there, a lot of people won't go out to eat until sundown, but at sundown, it is quite a happening place to be.
