Tongan culture is very easy to get used to, they're very accepting. Obviously I'm a white guy, I'm from Hawaii, but Tongan culture was still pretty foreign to me but they accepted me for kind of where I was coming from and it gave me a good chance to get used to it. Probably one of the most interesting things I found was their kind of lack of regard for personal property. So if you have a watch on, it's a nice watch, they'll ask for it and you're expected to kind of give it up. If you see something of theirs that you like, you could ask for it too and they would give it up.
