Thailand is a very safe Asian country because they are very excited to have tourists there. However, there are a few streets that you shouldn't go down, streets with illicit activities, but you won't find them unless you're looking for them. Other than that, just don't eat something. If you can see that it's been sitting out all day, don't pet the dogs. They probably don't ever eat any shots. And just if it doesn't look safe, then you don't have to do it. The Thai people would totally understand.
