Thailand's nickname is the Land of Smiles and it's for a reason because the people there are super super friendly. The country has gone crazy amounts of development and that is because of the previous king basically dragged Thailand from being a third world country into a second world country. So it's it's very very quickly growing. Thailand is basically what would happen if India and China had a baby and so you see a lot of those cultural influences in in Thailand. You get to see a lot of shared holidays, a lot of influences from Buddhism and Hinduism and you get to see just all of that mishmash in one country.

Thai people are actually a lot of different kinds of people. There's a ton of tribes all over Thailand and when you learn about Thailand you may just hear about like Bangkok and then the rest is jungle and it's like actually pretty accurate but there's specific sections of Thailand. There is the north of Thailand which is a lot of tribes, mountains, it's colder, they can grow strawberries and all these colder stuff up there. A lot of people that speak these tribal languages, some even like just Chinese villages. There's the northeast of Thailand which is all rice fields, it's really close to Laos, Vietnam and so they actually speak more Laotian in the homes and then Thai in schools. There's the central which is basically just close to Bangkok and there it's pretty much everyone like is around Bangkok and it's used to Bangkok and then there's the south which is the resorts and islands.

In Thailand, every day of the week has a different color associated with it. And so people will tend to wear that color on that day of the week. The colors are Monday is yellow, Tuesday is pink, Wednesday is green, Thursday is orange, Friday is light blue, Saturday is purple, and Sunday is red. And so I think it comes from like Chinese tradition or something, but mostly older people will like pay attention to it and dress accordingly.
