One of the most common misconceptions about Thailand is that the whole country is just jungle, as far as I can see. But that is not the case. In fact, Thailand actually has a lot of people. It has 70 million of them. And so Bangkok is this humongous city that is just full to the teeth with people. And all of the countryside, sure it has a lot of jungle in places, but mostly it's just flat. It's plains, like rice fields even. I would say most of the surface area of Thailand is rice fields. And so that was one of the biggest misconceptions for me.
