They don't necessarily always have toilet paper in the bathrooms. Sometimes you need to carry a pack of tissues with you. They also sometimes don't have normal sitting toilets. They will have little holes in the ground that you need to squat over. But, you know, if we're going to go back to the culture idea, embrace it. Taiwan is the best place in the world and actually every day in my journal I wrote down facts about Taiwan. And as I look back on the culture and the facts of it, it's filled with it. You just have to open your eyes and remember to bring toilet paper.

If you want to travel to Taiwan, for sure you need to make sure you know a little bit of Chinese before you go. Because a lot of foreigners come and they try to speak English to people in Taiwan. Most people probably can understand you, but they just don't really have the chance to speak English. So a lot of people probably say, oh, no English. So if you can know a little bit of Chinese or maybe have like a translator with you, that would be probably the best way. Also, sometimes you go to some place, you definitely need a translator. Like talk to the business people, you know, so you can actually purchase some souvenirs, purchase the food you want. So make sure you learn some Chinese. That would be really helpful.

So as far as crime goes, Taiwan is totally fine. I mean, you're not going to get mugged on the streets or anything like that. But as far as safety goes and trying to keep any any run-ins with people or anything like that to a minimum, you definitely want to lock up your bike. Because when you're out on the roads, the scooters and cars, they're really not watching for you. There's teenagers on these scooters that they trick out that are just shooting around cars at like 40 miles an hour. I mean, they expect you to get out of the way. So yeah, always be vigilant of that and you'll be fine. That's pretty much really the highest safety thing you want to watch out for.

Honestly, Taiwan is one of the safest places I've ever been in my life. I never felt in danger there. The only time I ever probably felt like I was gonna maybe get hurt in some way was on my bike when I was biking in the city and so I would say just to, you know, just be cautious of your surroundings because there's scooters everywhere and they're they're just coming at you from every way but all in all like Taiwan is honestly so safe and it's amazing.
