The history of Taiwan is kind of interesting. We were colonized by a lot of like western power before and a lot of buildings they were built by British, Spanish and also by the people from Portuguese, Portugal. Later on we were colonized by the Qing dynasty and after the war between China and Japan, we were ceded to Japanese government for 50 years until the end of World War II and that's when the China civil war coming up and the Kuomintang party they left communist party from mainland China to Taiwan and that's how our government, the Taiwanese government, Republic of China, they are here.
