Yesterday, a friend of mine came home from her mission and she gave a message at their sacrament meeting. And in her message, she taught us about prayer. And she said that when we pray, we should often listen, or listen and not speak. So I tried that. Yesterday and last night, those prayers became very strong. And I liked to pray like that. I was more focused on listening and not speaking. And I know that God will help us if we talk to Him like that.
In my life, prayer has helped me a lot. Because whatever trials I have in my life, when I pray, when I talk to my God, I feel the peace that comes into my life, no matter what trials I go through. I also feel that I am not alone in what I do every day, that God really helps me.
There are so many opportunities in my life that I don't know what to do and I don't feel the peace in my heart and mind. But in these times, prayer has helped me a lot because here I feel and understand the relationship of my Father in Heaven, that He is my Father and I am His child, that He loves me so much. Here I feel that the peace is real in my heart and mind. I am getting closer to His presence. I know that He answers our prayers. He will provide many ways to answer this to the people around us, to the scriptures. I know that He is listening and He wants to help us in all our prayers.
