They've recently come out of a dictatorship that went on for about 50 years from a guy called Franco. And he was pretty like a tyrant, I guess you could say. I think a lot of the influence on religious beliefs in Spain, religious practices, really comes from that period, it's influenced by that period. Because Franco really pushed Catholicism, he kind of forced it upon people, many people are very reserved now when it comes to religion, they don't want anything to do with it. And, and it kind of goes back to that.

Spain has a really rich history. Thousands of years ago, the Spaniards lived there, but also like the Arabs, like the Muslims lived there. So there's a lot of architecture that you can see now that shows that kind of cultural blend. There's this really cool cathedral in Cordoba that is also a mosque. They use it for both, which is really cool.

There was a dictator in Spain named Franco from most of the 20th century, and Spain had a civil war during that time, like right around the time of World War II, right before that, and so there's Spain's a country that's coming off of hard times still, and especially like not very easy times economically, and so that definitely plays into the way that Spanish people think in their culture, and but they're just such a, they have such a love and appreciation for life, even though their country has clearly been through hard things.
