So there was a war back in the 90s, and there were very different reactions in the war. Slovenia had the 10-day war for independence from Yugoslavia, and it went well for them. Croatia had a longer war, and it sort of is embedded in their national psyche. Bosnia was the most beat up out of any of the countries from the war, and there's still minefields active in the country. In Serbia, there were airstrikes from the U.S., and so there's a little bit of a stigma if you say you're American in Serbia. So there are all these different cultural things, so you need to understand that they're all very similar people, but there's very different reactions on backgrounds because of this war.
