I have really good experiences with chiropractors with scoliosis. In 2020, my lumbar curve was 57 degrees and my thoracic was 27. In 2021, after multiple visits, twice weekly visits with a chiropractor and very intense massage, myofascial, all of that stuff, after one year, my lumbar curve improved by 9 degrees. My lumbar curve is now 49 degrees and my thoracic is 21 degrees. It improved by 6 degrees and people told me that doesn't happen. You know, I wasn't expecting that to happen and I'm so grateful. Now, I still have a lot of pain, a lot of pain. In fact, a little bit more on my right side now, but my curves improved and I believe the chiropractic and the massage helped.

My experience with chiropractors is to proceed with caution. I think unfortunately some chiropractors give us false hope that they can help with our scoliosis. Now the exception of that would be chiropractors that truly have the experience and training of working with those with scoliosis. There are some out there, but you have to find those. You know, I had a chiropractor once offer me false hopes and tried to do decompression therapy and all of this. Did it help some? Yes. Was it expensive? Very much so. I just feel like when they see those of us with scoliosis, they see dollar signs. So my best advice for chiropractic care would be to please proceed with caution and please know that they need to have their scoliosis knowledge and experience.
