You can't just go swimming anywhere. Everywhere belongs to somebody. I think I mentioned in another video that all land in Samoa is ancestral land and so when you decide you like a body of water and you'd like to jump in and have a dip, there's always a family that owns that water and so they'll probably expect a small fee for you to have a swim. They usually have signs up that say like $2 or $3 or $4 or $6 before you can swim in that water. It's usually like that everywhere you go. If you've hired a car and you plan on traveling from Upolu to Savai'i Island on the ferry, book your ticket well in advance otherwise things can get pretty stressful because then that's when tipping comes into play and it can get really messy and stressful like I said. So yeah, make sure you book a space on the ferry for your car well in advance.
