Listen by ear. My other language tip is to go to little kids. I think little kids listen to what they say. Get them to test you and like question them. How are you? Hello, how are you? You will learn quicker. Some you can listen by ear. Try listen to how they pronounce the words.

The Samoan language is pretty easy to understand and pretty easy to learn as well, but I'll give you three phrases that, you know, I would say to anybody that's visiting, that want to visit Samoa or want to learn to speak Samoan. So, it's just, first of it says, fia ai, meaning I'm hungry. Fia ai, I'm hungry. Fia moi mean you want to sleep, right? So, and then the other one is fia kai le, or go shower, fia tai le. So, if like, you know, a lot of people when they come, Samoa's a very hospitable country, so we always want to treat our guest in a very polite and nice way. So, we always want to feed them, make sure they're okay, make sure they have a place to sleep, and make sure they shower to, you know, feel fresh and be able to enjoy the island.

I will just practice my A, E, I, O, U's and just kind of read up on the Samoan alphabet and then just run through it if you're really wanting to learn the language. Another thing that Samoans really love is people who try. They don't care if your Samoan is broken or if you're learning, they're just so happy to hear anybody that's trying to speak Samoan. Samoan people love it, so just have a lot of confidence. Be confident when you're trying to learn Samoan because the more you're confident, the more you'll use it and the more you use it, the better you'll get.
