I'm always very rich with history, and it's one of the most beautiful things about Samoa, not only culturally, such as myths and legends and things like that, but also how Samoa became an independent nation is also a beautiful history that can be read about. So I guess when visiting Samoa, I would recommend going and seeing different sites and learning about the history of Samoa, because the more you learn about it, the more in love you become with not just the nation, but also its history.

As you all may know, Samoa is actually the first Pacific island to gain its independence. We got independent in 1962 in January, however because of the severe weather around January time, like the month of January, we've actually moved our independent day from January to June, so we're now celebrating the middle of the year. So Samoa was administered by New Zealand at the time, and we granted independent, and from then on we have our own head of state, we have our prime minister, members of cabinet, and members of parliament, and we have a lot of ministries, or as they call it in the States, agencies. So we have Ministry of Education, Ministry of Women, Tourism, Finance, and all of them. So our history, I would say our ancestors, they paved the way.
