Common misconceptions of a proofreader. A proofreader is not an editor. They're not the same thing. Proofreaders do not suggest storylines. They don't suggest changing things, rearranging things, dropping things from the story, or adding things. Their job is to catch spelling errors, punctuation errors, grammar errors, and that type of thing.
