One of the holidays I think it was the most interesting only took place on the Azores islands. Portugal owns a bunch of islands and on the biggest island, São Miguel. In April, I believe, April or May, they started this festival called the Festival of Santo Cristo. Basically, there was a statue, a wooden statue, I think the legend goes, of I believe it was, you know, this Santo Cristo figure, their interpretation of Christ. They kind of washed ashore from some boat, they got shipwrecked or something, and they still have this statue and they parade it through the entire city and they lay down these like flower petal looking things for miles through the city in these cool patterns and they walk along. It is a little interesting, I'll say. But yeah, that's definitely something that's very unique. And then for like the rest of the summer, they just like have a different party, a week-long party in a little different town. So that's kind of a cool add-on. But yeah, it's something I was not expecting.
