In Portugal, one culture tip is it's rude to shake someone's hand with gloves on. Sometimes it gets cold in the winter, but I guess you need to take off your gloves to shake someone's hand because I've been yelled at by a gypsy guy for shaking his hand with gloves on.

So one thing about the Portuguese culture that I had to get used to was something called beijinhos, which are like little kisses, and what happens is you press your cheek against their cheek and they go and which is fine. It was just funny because like I wasn't very good at it at first and so I had like many really awkward like nose brushes or like almost kissing on the lips with like these little old ladies in Portugal and it would just like scare the beijinhos out of me because I was like, ah I kissed that lady on the lips, but no one really thought anything of it.

Everyone is really blunt. Like, me being from like an Asian background, everyone kind of beats around the bush all the time. You don't say anything directly. They'll tell you if you've gained weight. They'll tell you if you like are rude in some way. So, I mean, it's just part of the culture. They don't mean to be mean. It's just fun and like you learn to be blunt like them, so.
