My favorite aspect of podiatry is the variety that it brings. Each day can look a little different. Some days I'm in clinic, some days I'm in the operating room, other days it's a little mix of both or I'm rounding on patients at the hospital and there's seems to be never-ending information that's coming out on how to better practice in the world of foot and ankle medicine both just surgically and generally and so there's multiple different scientific journals that can be learned from conferences to go to and so for me it keeps me excited about my job. If there wasn't the variety I would get bored and I think that boredom can lead to some physician burnout which is a very real thing that isn't talked about enough so I'm grateful for the variety.
