All right, so some common misconceptions about podiatry. I think the first one I can think of in my career is people think that all we do is clip toenails. When I see people at the grocery store or around and they ask, you know, what I do for a living, when I say I'm a podiatrist, they say, oh, I've got some toenails that you can clip. And I think the biggest thing to understand for podiatry is that we are a medical specialty. And in fact, we're a surgical specialty. So I went to four years of undergrad and got my bachelor's degree. And then I went to four years of medical schooling where I got a specific degree to podiatry, which is a DPM. That's Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. And then I went to a three-year surgical residency where I did various rotations, but also focused in on foot and ankle surgery, bunions, hammer toes, ankle fractures, sports medicine types of injuries, diabetic ulcers, et cetera.
