you'll find like at like the little tindahan's little store that are everywhere they'll sell plastic bags of water for like one peso i used to drink those a lot because they were really convenient kind of fun however i didn't find out till later i think a lot of them come from the tap not from the safe water so i got lucky that i didn't get any parasites but just so you know heads up like maybe don't drink those if you can

I had a companion that had asthma, and I knew no one who ever had asthma, and so he told me I had asthma. I had no idea what that meant, and he's a pretty athletic guy, and so I didn't think much of it, and he would have an asthma attack, and I didn't know what it was, and I just thought, man, you're slowing us down. Come on, hurry up. And so my safety advice is if you have asthma, tell your companion and tell them what it means.

Be aware of your surroundings, you know, the roadways are a little crazy if you're in the city and the traffic they just Go pretty fast and there's people everywhere in the jeepneys. My companion was always paranoid so I guess my other advice would be to say don't take anything more than you have to and You know have inner pockets and stuff because she would sit in the jeepney like this with her bag and someone just came in with A switchblade and sliced the side and pulled her wallet out and she thought she was being really careful So I would just usually say take as little as you can put your most important things somewhere a little closer to you and Be aware of your surroundings
