I personally really like, there's a Christian ministry that does a radio show, podcast about marriage and family and parenting called Focus on the Family and I really like it. There's a lot of good guests that come on the show that have expertise in like parenting or marriage, family counseling and research on families. I think it's valuable. I listen to it off and on. I need to listen to it more often. It's really good.

My greatest recommendation is to expose your children as early as you feel adequate to a lot of different things in life. Expose them to scissors and glue and cardstock and things with texture. You know, we've had a ton of crafting materials always at our children's fingertips. We like to go on nature walks and create collages with leaves and sticks and moss. And so to me, the earlier you can expose your children to a myriad of resources and hands-on learning, you'll have genius children and they will be happy and content. I'm not talking about iPads and iPhones and devices. Those are really, really harming our children.

Websites that are excellent for teaching children. The first one is called Tinkercad. Tinkercad.com. I also can't say enough good about Scratch. It's at scratch.mit.edu. Powder Toy is a free computer program. You can download it on the website. Just Google Powder Toy. And it's a physics simulation. You have all the elements that you could put on your screen and it calculates the actual temperature and pressure that those elements in that configuration would be. And it reacts as it would in real life. And there's an online community that builds creations using elements.

Hey everyone, I am Dr. Latarsha Holden, Georgia and National Mother of the Year for 2020. I want to come and offer you this awesome resource that I had written last year after 30 plus years of raising my six children who are now 19 to 32. And it was lessons that I learned from overcoming poverty and homelessness and things that I stilled in them and things I learned along the way and things I learned after everyone was grown. And so this is my many parenting guide that came out last year. It is available on Amazon. So I taught my six children how to be leaders in their own unique individual way. I'm so proud to say they're now leading in retired military, active duty military, college students, college grads, entrepreneurs, authors, and in the medical field. And so pick up your copy today. Again, this is available on Amazon. Get your copy.

If you're looking for a great daycare in Colorado Springs, I recommend Junior Academy Children's Centers. They've been around for almost 70 years. They were started in the 50s. They're a family-owned and operated company. They have several locations and the main website is jracademykids.com and it has all of the rates and sites. We've got a handful in District 11 and in District 20, as well as in Fountain. I went to the daycare as a kid and have worked as a counselor for about 16 years. They go on all sorts of fun field trips in the summertime. The premier camp does swim lessons through the Red Cross and it's just a fantastic experience from both sides. I loved being a camper. I love being a counselor and I highly recommend them.
