If you're struggling with a wayward child or a disobedient child, violent child, I would encourage you just to be patient, to try to see the best in them, to see a better them than they can see in themselves. I think people tend to want to live up to the expectations that people have for them and the faith and confidence they have in them. When I was a child, I was quite violent. I was a a fireball as my mom would call me, where I would scream and bite and kick and scratch and throw tantrums. I was very emotional. When I was in my teen years, I matured quite a bit. I read a lot of scriptures. I started developing a relationship with God. I had a lot of things change in my life for the better and that can happen at different ages, but just be patient and love them and try to help them.
