Something I wish I knew was that it's really okay not to be the best at every aspect of music. That their music is so collaborative and it's so easy to collaborate with people these days that you don't have to do everything. Like if you're not good at transcribing music there's tons of people out there that can help you with that. Now it's good to try to expand your skills over time but like don't say oh hey you know I can't really try to be a professional musician until I've got you know x y and z under my belt like I can you can start and you can work on those things but in the meantime you can also find great people to collaborate with who can help you in the meantime.
