It's called patitas de pollo, or like little chicken feet. And I thought it was like french fries at first because it was really dark and she put like some salsa and lime on it. As we were talking the girl was just you know eating it and then I realized that it couldn't have been french fries because she was like nibbling on it, she was like gnawing on it. And so I realized that she pulled a whole foot out of the cup and was just kind of like tearing the cartilage off of bones and eating the chicken foot. I just had the want to just throw up and just not look at that at all. I tried them one time but never again.

So I had a lot of crazy food like iguana, chicken feet, pig feet, pig brain, but one of my favorite weird foods was chicken necks. You go to like a chicken rotisserie and they would take chicken necks and skewer them and then cook them and then you'd order like 10 or so and they put them in a plastic bag, cover them in hot sauce, shake the bag up and then you just chew on it and I just snack on it during the street and you like spit out the vertebrae while you're eating it. I thought it was so good.

The weirdest things that I ate were probably iguana. I ate it twice, once in a sauce called mole, which is made from a lot of chilies and chocolate and bananas and cookies. So it sounds really weird, but it's really good. And also I ate iguana in tamales. And then I also ate armadillo, which was surprisingly very good. It tasted kind of like pork. And then something very interesting that they eat in Chiapas is giant ants that are about this big and they're called noku, but they also have different names depending on where you're going, but they're super, super good. Try them.

Yeah, so the food in Mexico City is so crazy and so good. Aside from like all the different types of meats from animals you'll have from different, you know, body parts, whatever, my personal favorite type of food from Mexico City was definitely the tacos. There are so many different types of tacos as well like tacos al pastor, tacos de longaniza, suadero, all these different types of meats that are just so so good. One thing you'll notice too when you're just walking around is like all these different like taco shops have these things called trompos of the pastor meat it's basically like this rod that just holds a bunch of meat up and the guys that make your tacos for you they like use like a knife and they just cut it off and like it just magically somehow flies onto the taco itself. So it's really really cool, so so good. The food in Mexico is pretty crazy but honestly some of the best food I've ever had in my life.

I ate chicken feet, which is kind of weird because you like bite each toe off and suck the skin off of it. There's like no meat down there. You just eat the skin. But honestly, all the food down there is good no matter what. So even if it sounds crazy, still give it a try. Um, even the spicy stuff.
