So I have been fortunate in my career that I have worked in quite a few different places. I worked for the National Library of Canada when I started. Then I was sent to the U.S. in South Carolina to work on the shell rings of the late archaic people to catalog that collection. I ended up staying down there because I am status First Nations. I was able to work in the U.S. under the Jay Treaty where I cataloged marine protected areas, coastal zone information center law collection. We did shipwreck dives. We traveled all over U.S. coastal areas. It was with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. I worked there for 12 years. It was a wonderful experience. I was never bored. I have been able to work for two governments now, three.
