In Latvia or the Baltic states in general, they have what was called the KGB. If you don't know what that is, I would suggest you go look it up because it's going to be very, very important and it'll help you understand why they are the way they are. Um, being the fact that they won't open doors very easily. Um, they won't talk to you very easily because, you know, back in the day when they had this KGB from Russia, you know, if they did something wrong, if they had the wrong piece of literature, basically every small thing that made them Latvian or Estonian or resembled being independent, they would have two men come to the door, knock, and that person would never be seen again without reason. Um, and they would be taken to these jail cells and tortured for a very long time and go see the museums. They're absolutely incredible to learn about the history, but that is why they are hard on the outside because they couldn't share or be open about what they had or did.
