The locals say that Leopaya is where wind was born, and I kind of believe it. It seems like no matter which way you're walking, you're always walking against the wind. It's so windy there. In the winter, it will be cold and windy. Very cold. You might also get the chance to go and visit the forts in Leopaya. If you do it in the winter, pack extra warm. I've never been so cold in all my life.

In the Baltics, it can rain in the summer quite a bit, but what's surprising is that it can be a really hard downpour for five minutes and then let up and then come back an hour later. And so there's always clouds in the sky and you never know exactly when it's going to rain, so people every day of the summer would bring umbrellas just in case you had a Baltic shower. The weather would also get ridiculously cold there, especially if you're out by Liepāja, which is on the coast. Any city on the coast of Latvia, you would get strong wind picking up from the ocean as well as just the natural freezing cold of the north.
