Daiso is basically Japan's dollar store, but it's like top-notch stuff. It is quality. You will spend a lot of money there. Be careful when you go to Daiso. Make sure you plan ahead what you're gonna buy because you're gonna go in there and you'll be just looking around the aisles and within 15 minutes you're gonna spend 30 or 40 dollars. So consider yourself warned.

Izumo is like the mythical center of Japan. They believe that once a year at the beginning of like January all the gods of Japan come together in this place called Izumo Taisha and there they meet and they talk about what's going to happen in the world that year and so it's a pretty full of Japanese culture and Japanese mythology place. It's really cool. Then you have Osaka which is the heart of the city, it has Harukasu, one of the tallest buildings in Japan, and then you have Shikoku which is an island off the island of Japan and it is just full of rice fields and the best people ever who have the weirdest dialects you'll ever hear but it's so fun.

If you're ever in the area of Moiwa or in Shiroishi, there's like an Easter Island little park and it has like those like giant like statue heads and they're just like lined up on this giant park and like inside the park is this giant dome that's like built into the ground and if you take the stairs down into the ground there's a Buddha that's buried under the ground.

Go visit Kamakura. You see a lot of foreigners there. Go to Katase Enoshima. There's a beach and an island that goes off of the coast. So there's so many cool places, so many cool restaurants that you can go to. My companion and I once climbed Mount Takao or Takasan and it was beautiful. There's so many cool things to see and so many cool places you can ride the train to, ride your bike on. Just make sure to plan in advance. But yeah, just see the sights. Have fun.

One thing Sapporo is famous for is beer. In fact, you go to almost any Japanese restaurant around that has real Japanese food and they'll have Sapporo beer. We probably toured the Sapporo beer factory at least three, maybe four times, because at the end of the tour, which was amazing with all the manufacturing and robotics and automation they have in there, at the end of the tour you get free samples. Now we did not get samples of the beer. Sapporo beer also makes soda, a variety of different kinds of soda. So we could go get this free tour and get free soda at the end of it. Might be worth checking out if it's still available.
