Touristy things and shopping, you will be spending a little bit more, but at least on the clothing, it's higher quality and so you're paying more for higher quality. And the euro to the dollar ratio is obviously always fluctuating, so just check that. For groceries, I would say if you're going to markets, then all of your fresh fruits and vegetables, you can buy them dirt cheap. It's extremely cheap to go to markets to buy your food and you can save a lot of money by doing that. If you're going to the more like Walmart sort of stores, you might end up spending a little bit more, so just be aware of that. But cost of living is relatively the same as the United States.
