So some of my DIY fails, one was I made these raised garden beds out of like this three by four rough cut oak boards. I ended up scrapping the whole thing because it just didn't look very nice. It just wasn't held together very well. The boards were very thick, it was hard to nail or screw through them. I ended up going with nicer looking kind of pre-built metal purlin raised garden beds that I absolutely love. Another fail was using particle board materials in our bathroom or our kitchen because that particle board swells if you've got moisture in the air. And we live in a place where it's very humid, so like our bathroom, we literally had this vanity cabinet thing where the doors were like splitting and falling apart and like mold and stuff because they're a particle board. Now we have a solid wood vanity in our bathroom and it's holding up amazingly, so I really don't like particle board very much.
