My wife decided to homeschool our daughter a year before we were planning a big summer trip to Europe, and she used all the places that we were going to go, and the map, and learned history and reading about different cities that we were going to visit. And my daughter, who was just nine when we went to Europe, she would stand in places she had learned about and tell us what she remembered, and it really made that trip come to life that my wife had utilized where we were going and taught her about it.
