A book I would recommend I recently read is called The American Line by John Meacham. It's about President Andrew Jackson, his rise to power, how he exercised it, and why many future presidents would regard him as one of the most influential presidents in American history. I really enjoyed it because Andrew Jackson's president has got a lot of controversy. A lot of people have very strong opinions about him throughout history, but reading about him and his decision making processes really helped me understand the complexities of the time and kind of see how we could learn from his experiences, learn from his time, and create a better future.

One history book that I totally recommend is called Family Romanov, Murder, Rebellion, and the Fall of Imperial Russia. If you're interested in the Russian Revolution and the overthrow of the Tsar and his family, that book is so interesting. Also if you're interested just in like the mystery of it because so many people believe that their daughter Anastasia survived and it just gives a really cool insight into their lives and what happened the day that they were murdered and also their relationship with Rasputin, so it's a good read.

Another book I read recently is called The Last Hill. It's about a special warfare unit in World War II, the 2nd Battalion Rangers, and how they fought throughout the European conflict. From, like, storming of Normandy, they stormed up, not beachheads, but cliff faces, to battling throughout Western Europe and completing some of the Army's hardest tasks. A lot of their stories are really incredible and inspiring, and the brotherhood and grit that they showed is pretty inspirational.
