So in my experience, the best way to deal with heat stroke is to address it before it happens. So it's all about preparation. So if you know you're going to be in a strenuous activity in high temperatures and high humidity, making sure that you're fueling yourself, making sure you're eating proper nutrition, you're getting the sodium and electrolytes you need to function, making sure that you're constantly consuming water, that's very important. Finding shade when you can. If you're in the midst of heat stroke though, the best thing that you can do is get in the shade, cool down with cool water if you have it, ice packs if you do, that's even better. But it needs to be addressed immediately and taken care of or else the side effects can get exponentially worse.
