The history of Guatemala is actually very fascinating. You know, they had the ancient Mayans were based out of Guatemala, so you'll see a bunch of pyramids there. There's a ton of, you know, ruins everywhere, and almost everywhere you walk people talk about and still dress in the typical clothing of the Mayan people, which is super cool. Recently though, there was a civil war between the government and some of the indigenous people, like the K'ich'is and the K'iche's, and a lot of them actually had to flee to the Maoans because they were being killed. So that still is a prevalent part of the culture today, is this the civil war that went on, and you know, there's still a little bit of racism that goes on because of it. So it's a sensitive topic, so if you're going to go there, you just, it's better not to address it at all, but if you are going to, just, you know, be very sensitive about it and be accepting of either side's position.
