When you're arriving in Ghana and you're being picked up from the airport, people are going to want to help you take your bags with you where you want to go and they'll ask for a fee if you do, even though they already helped you with it. If you want to avoid this problem, just politely tell them, no thank you, I'm okay, I know where I'm going, I can take my bags, but thank you for offering. That will save you a lot of time and hassle of what you need to do to get where you need to go. In time, once you touch down in the airport.

When you're in the market, and you will be in the market, and you will want to buy something, you're going to learn how to read them, and you're going to learn prices, but you should, okay, first of all, ask your companion what the price should be, or what a good price should be if you're new, or ask someone, and then when you go to buy that thing, they're going to give you a price, and you're going to say, I'll take it for this price, or I'll take it for this price, and they're going to push it, they're going to push it, but if you keep pushing it, they want your money more than you want those whatevers, so give them a fair price, if they won't do it, leave, there's literally a shop, two shops down, you can get the exact same thing probably for, so you can get the lowest price, so always barter, never take the first price, keep going down till you get a good price, you just go to the market, ask anybody, say, hey, where do I buy rope, where do I buy anything, okay, just ask someone in the market, they'll point you to it, you'll go, literally you can find anything in the markets.

Showers and bathrooms, a lot of them are outside, so definitely be aware of that. The other thing is that when women breastfeed, they don't cover up, and sometimes they don't even wear a shirt. There's one thing that they don't really tolerate, and that's stealing. The word for thief is auri, and if somebody steals and they're caught, they will get beaten, sometimes to death, just out of nowhere. You can't stop it, you can't intervene, it's a mob. It doesn't happen super often, it's not like it's an everyday thing, but just be aware that if you see a large mob, and maybe there's somebody in there who everyone's taking a swing at, they stole something, and that's pretty much the law down there, is that that's what happens.
