I would just have to say my favorite is just mashed potatoes. I feel like they just go with everything and they're just superior. They're really good.
I would just have to say my favorite is just mashed potatoes. I feel like they just go with everything and they're just superior. They're really good.
I think that the best Thanksgiving side dish is stuffing with rolls is a close second, but literally just like that stuffing stuff that comes from a box, it's like the best one. In my family we also have a tradition of making pretzel jello salad. So it's a layer of pretzels, it's a layer of whipped cream, and it's a layer of like red jello, and then you just like keep going. It's like lasagna. It's super good.
The only good Thanksgiving dishes are as follows. Ham, potatoes, rolls, yams depending on how they're cooked, and finally corn and carrots. Yes, I said it.
Mashed potatoes for the win every time.
The best is stuffing, but closely followed by mashed potatoes and gravy.
Hands down the best Thanksgiving side dish is the Ruth's Crisps recipe for sweet potatoes. They have it has butter and cinnamon sugar and pecans on top over mashed sweet potatoes and it's the best.
So when I was living in South Texas on the Mexican border, they would have like pasta, like spaghetti with like green sauce. It wasn't pesto, I don't even know what it was, but it was literally so good. So good.
The best Thanksgiving side dish is sweet potato casserole or whatever the dish is where you have the sweet potato mush with the marshmallows and pecans on top. Nothing can beat it. Maybe the bread. Rolls. Okay, rolls and sweet potato casserole are pretty much tied. But those, I think, complement everything so well. And they're the best tasting ones.
100% stuffing. No question, it's so yummy and with a little bit of cranberry sauce, oh such a good combination.
