This might seem cliche, but there's been times in my life where I've been injured, like broken bones, sick, or I haven't been able to work out or exercise for periods of time. And it's hard because I look at people who are able to do that and I just feel so jealous. And I feel like, um, when I'm like, whole, when I'm not sick, when I'm feeling good, I don't appreciate the ability to move as much as I should. Um, so just like be grateful every day for your body's ability to take care of itself. Like it's amazing. And there's people out there who are just longing for the day they can do those things that you can do. Um, so it's definitely a privilege to be able to move your body. So we have to take care of it the best we can.

So my biggest piece of advice would be to just do it for two weeks. I feel like the hardest part is doing working out consistently for two weeks. So if you can get over that hump, you can do anything. And something that I really love to focus on is what my body can do. So when you're feeling discouraged, you're feeling like you can't move on, just appreciate what your body can do and how far it has taken you.

Think of the work that you're putting in that you know other people are not doing. There is simply no way that you cannot be better if you are putting in the work. If you don't think you're good enough, work harder and get good enough because that's the only way it's going to happen. Don't compare yourself to others. Just look at where you were a month ago, maybe three months ago, and look where you are now. You get better. You're going to keep getting better and eventually you're going to be the best. Keep grinding.

Simple, you want to be weak and unable to do things you enjoy for the rest of your life? If so, stop working out. If you don't want to be weak and you want to be able to enjoy the best of life physically, mentally, and emotionally, and socially, go do it. Get the work done.

I tend to have this really all-or-nothing mentality with fitness and I think it can be really unhealthy. I've been trying really hard to be better at just recognizing that moving my body one day is better than moving in no days and so if you don't have a consistent schedule or it's really hard for you to get into a schedule, don't get discouraged. If you feel really motivated one day, go work out even if you haven't worked out any other day that week or if you are close to the end of the week and you haven't started working out, decide to work out right then. Choose to start today because it's never too late and some movement is way, way, way better than no movement. Be easy on yourself and just do something that you really enjoy. If that's swimming, that's great. If it's yoga, that's great. If it's just walking, that's great too.

I don't know what I'm talking about, but one time I tried to pep talk to my mom to get me a dog. It didn't work, but I told her like ten reasons why she should get a dog, and I'd do everything to take care of it! And Steph will not clean up its poop, but technically everything. And she said, no feet are too high, and I was like, ah! And, mmm, it didn't work. At least, I love puppies, and I get to do them, and there's some at our friend's house, and at our neighbor's house, and I love puppies!

Alright y'all, so my motto is if you want something you can wish for or you can work for it. So if you want to look a certain way, then work for it. So get to the gym and get at it, you got it.

You got this. It takes time. You need to give yourself grace. You need to be patient with yourself. All good things take time because if it didn't take time, then it's not good for you.

Whatever fitness or health general and general goals that you have for yourself, you are worthy of them. Every time that you look in the mirror and say, I'm not able to do this, I can't do this, that's very normal. But I also hope that you know that whatever it is that you want to do, you are worthy of making the change and you can do it.

I just want to speak to all those that might be struggling, not feeling motivated, and maybe even discouraged with their progress. You can do it. You totally can. You just need to set goals and write those goals down and make a plan and hold yourself accountable to that plan. I really know that with a goal and plan that you can achieve your fitness desires. And I think the most important thing to keep in mind is just making sure that you feel good. Ultimately, I think it's more important that you feel good and healthy and strong rather than achieving your dream body or losing a certain amount of weight.

The only thing that I have to say is to keep going. And that you can do it and there will be hard days when you don't want to go work out. And you know what, sometimes that's fine to take a day off. It's actually really good for you. You're only supposed to work out maybe four to five times a week, depending on your body. Sometimes for people that's three times a week. But listen to your body, keep going, and make sure you just stick to a very good workout routine. Like stick to it consistently, do the same workout. Like every day, like every Monday I'll always do back and by. And every Wednesday I'll always do legs. And then every Friday I'll always do full body. Make sure you stick to a schedule like that.

I have never been one to do organized exercise. In fact, I told my husband, if you ever see me running, call the police because somebody's chasing me. But recently I've been introduced to kind of functional fitness, kind of like crossfit, and it was intimidating to start something new like that with really limited experience. But I have found that once you start something, if you can do it continuously and give it a chance and just have a little courage, try not to quit and be consistent, it will surprise you the benefits that you'll see in other areas of your life. And I think the biggest thing that I noticed was the change in my mental health game, knowing that when I can push myself and how I can work a little harder during certain times, because I've learned that from being in the gym now. So go get out there, try something new and just work at it. Give it a chance.
